Children Tour

We are excited to offer a special tour designed just for children.

On this tour, Children will embark on a journey through the rich and diverse cultures of Asia. Our expert guides will take them on a fun and educational exploration of our exhibits, including vibrant pottery, intricate sculptures, and fascinating artifacts from different regions of Asia.

Children will learn about the art and traditions of China, Japan, India and other countries and discover how these different cultures have influenced each other over time. They will get to see real artifacts, learn about their history and meaning, and even create their own art inspired by what they have seen.

Our tour guides are specially trained to engage children of all ages and make learning fun and interactive. We use stories, games, and other activities to help children connect with the art and cultures they are learning about.

In addition to the tour, we offer a range of resources and activities to help children continue their learning after they leave the museum. We have activity sheets and other resources available online, as well as workshops and events throughout the year.

Teen & Student Tour

Our museum is a treasure trove of Asian art and artifacts.

Our Teen & Student tour will take you on a journey through the art and cultures of Asia. You'll get to see amazing examples of art from countries like China, Japan, Korea, India, and more. We'll explore different mediums like ceramics, architecture, furniture, and textiles, and we'll discuss the history and symbolism behind highlighted pieces. We'll also talk about the varying styles and techniques used in different periods of Asian Art.

We'll discuss the role that art plays in different cultures and societies and how it can reflect the values and beliefs of a people. By the end of our tour, you'll have a greater appreciation for the diversity and beauty of Asian art and cultures.

Our senior tour is designed to be leisurely and comfortable, with plenty of opportunities to sit and rest along the way. Our knowledgeable guides will provide detailed explanations of the artworks, and answer any questions you may have.

You will learn about the art and traditions of China, Japan, and other countries, and discover how these different cultures have influenced each other over time. You will also have the chance to see and feel real artifacts, and learn about their history and meaning.

Our museum is fully accessible, and we offer a range of amenities to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable. Our staff is always available to assist with any special needs or requests.

In addition to the tour, we offer a range of resources and activities to help you continue your learning after you leave the museum. We have workshops and events throughout the year.

General Tour

Here, we offer a journey through the rich cultural heritage of Asia. Our museum is a tribute to the artistic achievements of the ancient civilizations of Asia, and we are proud to showcase a collection of exceptional art and artifacts.

Our tour begins in the ancient civilization of China, where you will see exquisite jade carvings, intricate bronze vessels, and beautiful ceramics. Next, we move on to Japan, where we explore the contemporary Netsuke. We also take a look at the vibrant and colorful world of Korean and Indian art, including ceramics and intricate sculptures.

Our museum offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the art, culture, and history of Asia. Our knowledgeable guides are available to answer any questions you may have and to share their insights into the fascinating world of Asian art.

Tour Time

Tours are offered to groups from Thursday through Sunday. The first tour starts at 11:00 a.m. The last tour is at 3:30 p.m. Total visiting time for group tours is one to one and a half hours.

The tour begins in the reception with an interactive presentation. If specific subjects are preferred, advanced notice is required.

Afterwards, adult groups are free to tour the Museum. Children's groups are given directions by the tour guide about Museum rules, the scavenger hunt quiz, and the Museum Shop.

Accessibility

The Heritage Museum of Asian Art's Entrance is on West 35th Street. Take the elevator to the third floor and turn right to the Museum Reception Desk.

Accessible and standard toilets are located on the same floor.

Free parking is available in the parking lot next to the Museum via West 35th Street.
