On January 11th, the Heritage Museum of Asian Art hosted a transformative two-hour workshop featuring the esteemed Master Peter Wong, who introduced participants to the gentle yet powerful practice of Anser Style Qigong (大雁式气功). Attendees of all experience levels engaged in an immersive session, learning an accessible daily practice rooted in Chinese traditions that use animal movements to explore internal energy flow and balance.

Throughout the workshop, Master Wong skillfully guided participants through fundamental Qigong techniques, emphasizing the importance of fluidity, breath control, and mindfulness. The session provided a unique opportunity for attendees to connect with ancient wellness practices and discover how the movements of the wild goose can promote physical and mental well-being.

Participants practiced gentle yet purposeful movements, gaining insights into how Qigong enhances inner harmony and energy circulation. Master Wong's clear and engaging teaching approach made the practice accessible to all, and attendees left feeling refreshed, balanced, and inspired to incorporate Qigong into their daily routines.

About the Artist

Peter Wong

Peter Wong is a fifth-generation practitioner of Yang Style Taijiquan. He has been practicing Traditional Kungfu for over fifty years and has been an instructor of Tai Chi at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Peter Wong was a director of the 26th and 27th Board of Directors of the Chin Woo Athletic Association Hong Kong Limited. He is also the appointed Traditional Martial Arts Advisor and Sanshou散手 Advisor(2008-Now) of the Hong Kong, China Wushu Union.
