About the event
Join the Heritage Museum of Asian Art for the closing reception of Stitching Stories: Interwoven, an exhibition exploring cross-cultural dialogue, healing, and collaboration through textile arts. Developed in partnership with the Needles and Threads Quilters Guild, the exhibition brings together Asian and African American artists whose works reflect storytelling, memory, identity, and shared creative inquiry.
As a continuation of the 2025 initiative Stitching Stories: Cross-Cultural Healing through Quilting and Textile Arts, this new iteration introduces fresh works, new voices, and deepened relationships formed through ongoing exchange and collaboration. Through quilting, stitching, and textile-based practices, participating artists examine how collective creativity can foster understanding, connection, and care across communities.
Celebrate the closing of the exhibition with us by meeting the artists, experiencing the works in conversation, and enjoying light refreshments as we gather together in community.
