About the event

Join us for an introduction to the religious works of art in the Heritage Museum of Asian Art collection. This lecture will discuss the iconography, art history, and religious significance of these important works. The sculptures in our collection include Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain works of art from India, China, Korea, and Burma, dating from the 6th-19th centuries. After the lecture, feel free to explore the gallery on your own. Our religious art collection is on display in the Main Gallery of the museum. Museum entry and the lecture are free to the public.
